Although North American farmers have already met the fertilization requirements for spring crops, the group stated that Canada's production serves markets in Asia and South America, which rely on potassium fertilizer transportation during the growing season.
Normally, replenishment activities in the US potassium fertilizer market begin in July, and prolonged logistics issues may have some impact on the availability of this brief demand period.
